Who We Are
Hi! We are Matt and Haley Scallions - a husband and wife team with a young family that has lived in Homewood since 2012.
Scallions Realty is our full-service agency, brokered by LIST Birmingham. We guide buyers and sellers through every step of the process with personal attention, local expertise, and the professionalism that we expect ourselves. We have a unique, flat-fee listing model that helps sellers save thousands when selling their homes and an extensive network to help buyers find their next home.
How Flat-Fee Listing Works
With us, “flat fee” doesn’t mean flat service.
Traditionally, real estate brokers charge a percentage of the sales price — usually 5% or 6%. On a 5% listing, the listing broker typically keeps 2.5% and offers 2.5% to the buyer’s broker.
At Scallions Realty and LIST Birmingham, we charge a flat fee of $6,500 for sellers. Instead of a traditional 5% commission, our clients pay $6,500 plus 2.5% to the buyer’s broker.
The savings come from our low flat fee. It’s a win-win — the buyer’s agent is still compensated, and the seller saves thousands while receiving a full-service listing experience.
